No immediate plans for Modi at national level: BJP

The BJP does not have any plan to bring Modi at national level in the near feature, senior party leader M Venkaiah Naidu said in Ahmedabad on Monday.

"Modi is a charismatic leader of the BJP. He has been given the role of running Gujarat by the party and he is doing that. Once it is completed, the party will decide whether he will come to national scene or not," Naidu said.

Naidu alleged Congress the had not shown humility to accept the defeat in Gujarat Assembly elections.

"Some of the remarks of Congress leaders made after they lost the elections in Gujarat shows that they do not have the humility to accept the defeat in Gujarat," Naidu told reporters after the election of Narendra Modi as the leader of BJP Gujarat legislature party.

"Particularly the statement made by Congress leader Veerappa Moily who had said that `Hitler had also won election'," he added.

Replying to a question what the party would do with senior leaders like Keshubhai Patel and Kashiram Rana who have been served show cause notices by BJP, Naidu said "we have given notices to them. Let them reply. We will decide after that".

Speaking about the BJP's victory, he said, "Morale of the BJP workers had an electrifying affect due to results of Gujarat elections."
