The bodies of two Indian students of the Louisiana State University, Chandrasekhar Reddy Komma and Kiran Kumar Allam -- who were killed last week, will be flown back to their native place in Hyderabad by the end of this week.
Local authorities have assured Indian diplomats that the bodies, which have been kept in the local funeral home since Sunday, will be ready for flying back home after completion of some last minutes formalities.
"The bodies are pending some last minute documentation and by Tuesday afternoon it will be made clear when they will be flown back home," Deputy Consul Houston Consulate K P Pillai said.
Meanwhile, Chandrasekhar Reddy's wife, Kalpana, has already left for India on Sunday. Kalpana has been married to Chandrasekhar since February this year.
The family members of Kiran Kumar Allam were leaving for India on Wednesday, ahead of the body of their young son being flown back to its native place.
Kiran's father, author Allam Rajaiah, reached Louisiana on Saturday to be with his wife Shobha Rani, who has been in the US since mid September to help her daughter-in-law, Swapna, during the birth of their first baby due early next month.
Kiran and Swapna were to celebrate their second marriage anniversary on December 25.
