The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a public interest litigation seeking Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry against Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and his family members for allegedly amassing wealth disproportionate to their known source of income.
The court also imposed a cost of Rs 25,000 against the lawyer A R Subhash who had filed the petition.
"We have serious doubts about the bonafide of the petitioner who is incidentally a member of the legal fraternity," a Bench comprising Chief Justice Y K Sabharwal and Justice C K Thakker said, dismissing the petition.
