Without naming India, Pakistan has accused it of fomenting trouble in the restive Balochistan province as also financially supporting and arming the rebels, a charge New Delhi has consistently denied.

Pakistan's Envoy to Unied Nations Munir Akram claimed that the Balochistan Liberation Army, which is fighting Islamabad's exploitation of the province's resources without improving lives of the local people, is an organisation funded by "some our enemies".

"We know who they are," he said.

When asked by a reporter if he was referring to India, Akram said, "I am not naming anybody, but you can put two and two together and draw your own conclusions."

He said Pakistan was prepared to discuss Balochis' "genuine grievances" including increase in the royalty for oil, but would not allow secessionism or efforts aimed to "disrupt" its territorial integrity.
