The Bharatiya Janata Party has called for a global campaign to mount pressure on Bangladesh and Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence agency to stop patronising 'anti-India' fundamentalist and terrorists organisations.
BJP president Rajnath Singh on Wednesday said that the United Progressive Alliance government should launch a diplomatic campaign to create consensus to pressurise Bangladesh to stop hosting anti-India fundamentalist elements.
"There is no denying the fact that Bangladesh has become a hub of international Islamic fundamentalists. It is a matter of grave concern that all anti-India forces are getting training in Bangladesh. I have information that more that 25000 youth are getting training in that country," the BJP president said.
He demanded mounted vigil along the porous border with Bangladesh given that anti-India fundamentalist elements were believed to be sneaking into the country from Bangladesh through the porous border in north Bengal and Northeast.
"There is no point talking to Bangladesh and Pakistan unless they give commitment to stop cross-border terrorism," Singh said.
"ISI should be put under international surveillance because all terrorists' attacks on India are sponsored and funded by the agency. It has links with anti-India terrorists based in Bangladesh, terrorists from the Northeast, Maoists of Nepal and the Naxalites," the BJP leader alleged.
"There is no doubt the ISI is a global terrorism promoter. India must build pressure in the United Nations Security Council to get the agency branded as a global terrorist organisation," Dr Singh said.
