Sprucing up for the President

The area where the ticket counters are located is normally squalid, with black stone walls. They had been painted white today. New fans are being installed.
Even the station master's doorway has been painted white, and his office was being whitewashed.
On platform number 1 the huge clock which passengers refer to, was receiving a complete overhaul.
