Official sources said the government would float global tenders this month itself to invite private participation for setting up medical college and hospitals.
The government proposed to set up seven new medical college hospitals in districts of Ara, Begusarai, Bettiah, Nalanda, Chapra, Munger and Saharsa under public-private participation.
A high-level Bihar delegation led by chief minister Nitish Kumar is going to attend the NRI meet in Hyderabad to be held from January 7 to 9 to present opportunities for NRI investment in state.
The government will offer a single-window clearance system for NRI investment.
The government plans to provide 25 acres land at cheap or at lower rates to private parties keen to set up medical colleges and hospitals. Besides, after receiving confirmation from them, the medical education department will provide them essentiality certificates and also help them procure university affiliations, which are mandatory for processing of application by the Medical Council of India.
Rai said that state would get three percent of the total income earned by the medical college managements.
