Pravin Mahajan, arrested on the charge of attempting to murder his elder brother and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan, was Monday taken to J J Hospital for a routine medical check up.
Pravin, who is lodged at Worli police lockup, has to undergo a routine medical check up every 48 hours as per the directives of the Supreme Court on custodial inmates.
He was last subjected to medical check up on Saturday afternoon, soon after he was arrested by Worli police.
That time, a three-member team of doctors, consisting of a psychiatrist, a forensic expert and a physician had examined Pravin and opined that he was mentally stable.
Although no such examination was performed on Pravin this time, doctors at J J hospital checked his vital body parameters and advised police that care be taken about his meals since he was diabetic.
