Congress will withdraw support to Samajwadi Party-led government in Uttar Pradesh at the "right time," Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee president Salman Khurshid said Monday. Addressing party workers, Khurshid said Congress had not yet given any letter to the Governor on withdrawal of support to the UP government and urged the masses to join the party's agitation against the state government.

He said the Mulayam Singh Yadav government had failed on all fronts and the common man was "disturbed" by its policies and programmes.

Khurshid said water and power supply, besides law and order had deteriorated, affecting the people of Uttar Pradesh. He also condemned the terrorist attack in Varanasi and said the state government had failed to check disruptive activities.
