Conceding reunification of divided Kashmir was not an easy task at present, leaders of Pakistan occupied Kashmir on Monday favoured making the Line of Control "imperceptible" or "irrelevant".
"While the reunification of the two Kashmir's not so easy in today's circumstances, efforts should be made by all concerned to make LoC imperceptible or irrelevent in reality," Prof M A R K Khaleeq, president of the Jammu Kashmir National Awami Party, said at a lecture organised at the Centre for Jawahar Lal Nehru Studies at the Jamia Millia Islamia University.
India and Pakistan should create conditions for free and easy movement across the LoC, Khaleeq said adding, it was not enough to have a bus link between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad.
The PoK leaders made an apparent reference to militant groups operating in Jammu and Kasmir and deplored the use of violence for "achieving the political aims of the people of Jammu and Kashmir".
Interestingly, chairman of All Party Nationalist Alliance Arif Shahid, during his speech and an interaction, referred to occupied Kashmir as PoK and not as "Azad Kashmir".
APNA is an alliance of 12 parties opposing Pakistan's occupation of Kashmir.
Meanwhile, PoK leader Sardar Abdul Qayyum, who had arrived in New Delhi on September 17 to participate in an Intra-Kashmir talk organised by Panthers' Party, left for Lahore by a PIA flight Monday evening.
