Late Sunday night, Pakistan experienced a strong aftershock, measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale, forcing people to come out of their shelters.

The 5.9 magnitude tremor that struck at 9.15 PM Sunday night shook Islamabad, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and other parts of the quake-hit region and it was the strongest among several hundred aftershocks.

Two moderate aftershocks rattled Pakistan's northern areas earlier. The first tremor, registering 5.2 on the Richter scale, hit Mansehra town in Northwest frontier province at 12.29 PM while the second measuring 4.9 was felt at 5.44 AM on Sunday.
