The Foundation has transformed 12,000 villages in India, says Dinesh.

He points to Kapsi village in Maharashtra as testimony to the Foundation's efforts.

Dr Madhav Pol built 27 check dams in Kapsi, ensuring that enough rain water is collected for future use.

The dams have raised the water level so high that all the wells are full. That is one happy village of 17,000 people.

"Through scientific irrigation methods," says Dinesh, "we have made Kapsi self-sufficient. Kapsi can now survive two years without rainfall."
