Software major Wipro received an anonymous call on Wednesday claiming that a bomb had been planted at its office on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Bangalore.
A dog and metal detector squad was rushed to the multi-storeyed building, which also houses the Times of India office.
The squad is taking an inventory of the entire building. The police was conducting checks, an official said.
Wipro's main campus is located on Sarjapur Road on the city's outskirts. The company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
The Delhi police had on Tuesday said they had arrested Lashkar-e-Toiba militants who had planned to attack software firms in Bangalore.
Earlier, the Bangalore city police seized arms and ammunition, including a sten-gun and 149 bullets, at the Cantonment railway station.
