The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday termed Goa Pro-tem Speaker Fransisco Sardinha's decision to vote in favour of the Pratap Singh Rane government as 'shameful and fraud'.
The Rane government survived a trial of strength in the state assembly.
"A pro-tem speaker has never been allowed to cast his vote. This method of getting majority is wrong," former president of the BJP M Venkaiah Naidu said.
"We expected the Congress to do something like this, that is why we stalled Parliament proceedings to voice our protest," Naidu said.
The Congress-led government has no respect for the Constitution and it is bringing back Indira Gandhi's regime, Naidu alleged.
