British police on Thursday arrested nine men in south London in connection with the investigation into the failed attacks on the city last week.
The men were arrested under the Terrorism Act.
The arrests came as investigators were questioning one of the would-be bombers Yasin Hassan Omar, picked up on Wednesday in Birmingham.
A hunt for three of the bombers involved in the failed attacks is continuing. In a related development, three women were detained at Stockwell on suspicion of harbouring offenders connected with the attempted bombings.
