Amit Jogi, son of former Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi, on Tuesday underwent a lie detector test in connection with the murder of state Nationalist Congress Party treasurer Ram Avtar Jaggi two years ago.
Central Bureau of Investigation sources said Amit was subjected to the polygraphic test at the Central Forensic and Scientific Laboratory at the CBI headquarters following his continuous refusal to admit his involvement in the crime.
The sources said Amit was asked a set of 30 questions, which pertained to the sequence of events, including financing and planning of the murder.
The report of the test will be available after a week when brain analysts will analyse any deviation in the graph, the sources said.
The lie detector test can be used as a corroborative evidence in a court of law.
The sources did not rule out the possibility of subjecting Amit Jogi to a brain mapping test at the Ahmedabad-based CFSL.
Amit was arrested by the Special Crime unit of the CBI on July 1 in connection with the murder of Jaggi who was shot dead on June 4, 2003.
After completion of his six-day CBI custody, the agency will produce him before the designated court in Raipur where the case was lodged.
