A special court of the Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday refused bail to Mumbai blasts accused Abu Salem's girlfriend Monica Bedi in connection with a forged passport case.
Special court Judge C V Subramanyam dismissed Bedi's petition on the ground that further investigation was pending.
Defence counsel S Pradeep Kumar said that Bedi will be produced in the court in the afternoon for recording her specimen signatures to compare with the signatures on her passport obtained under a fictitious name and false address from the Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad, in 2001.
A local court in Bhopal on December 9 rejected Bedi's bail plea in connection with another forged passport case.
Judge D K Dangi dismissed the bail plea, observing that the matter was out of the jurisdiction of his court.
