The injured in the Sabarmati Express mishap at Samlaya in Gujarat and admitted to the SSG Hospital in Vadodara are out of danger, doctors hospital said on Friday.
The 24 passengers whose condition was critical are now out of danger and are recuperating, the doctors told PTI from Vadodara.
Over 100 passengers had received injuries of various kinds, including fractures, mild haemorrages, abrasions and bruises, they said. "Only 60 passengers are still being treated in the hospital and all of them are stable."
After the Sabarmati Express collided with a stationary goods train at Samlaya, near Vadodara, in the wee hours on Thursday, most of the seriously injured patients were rushed to the SSG Hospital.
Railway officials said those with minor injuries had returned to Ahmedabad.
Government medical teams from Vadodara, Ahmedabad and nearby towns had rushed to Samlaya junction following the mishap. The Western Railway's emergency aid services and several voluntary organisations had also sent their medical teams.
