Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chief Yaseen Malik on Sunday sought to downplay Pakistan's moves to bring about unity among separatists in Jammu and Kashmir.
"Unity is the internal matter of Hurriyat. We have not come here [New Delhi] to discuss unity with Musharraf," he said in reply to a question on Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's desire to unite separatists in Jammu and Kashmir.
"We can sit and talk about unity among ourselves in Srinagar," he said.
The JKLF chief made it clear that the agenda at their meeting with Musharraf would be to stress on inclusion of Kashmiris in peace talks. He said talks without Kashmiris would be a futile exercise.
The sincerity of Prime Minister [Manmohan Singh] and the Pakistan President would be proved only if they take people of Kashmir along with them in talks, he said.
