Pakistan police on Monday arrested three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists who allegedly took part in last year's assassination attempts on President Pervez Musharraf.

Ghulam Murtaza, Ghulam Rasool and Saad were picked up from their homes.

The three had trained Mohammed Jamil, the suicide bomber who carried out one of the attacks, according to investigators.

"The three militants were earlier arrested for being involved in the attacks on churches in Murree and Taxila, but were released as no connection could be established between them and the attacks," the Daily Times reported.

Musharraf has blamed the Al Qaeda for the three attacks on him in December 2003.
