With its scheme to provide reservation to Muslims in jobs and education caught in a legal wrangle, Andhra Pradesh Government is contemplating to bring a legislation, if necessary, on the issue.
Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy told reporters in Hyderabad, "We are contemplating to bring in a legislation, if need be, on the subject."
He said the Andhra Pradesh high court has granted stay to the scheme till Tuesday next, but has also asked educational
institutions not to fill up five per cent of the seats as it is referring the matter to a larger bench.
Reddy said his government was exploring ways and means to overcome the problem.
