The Samjhauta Express left Lahore for Attari on Thursday morning, marking the resumption of rail links between India and Pakistan.

Many people came to bid goodbye to their relatives at the Lahore railway station.

The service is now available every Thursday and Monday.

India and Pakistan have now resumed rail, road and air links, which were severed after the terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament on December 13, 2001.
