Even as Pakistan mulled over its response to New Delhi's 12-point peace initiative, India on Tuesday announced steps to implement three of them, including running additional Delhi-Lahore buses and allowing senior citizens to cross Wagah border check-point on foot.

New Delhi termed as 'unfortunate and not in keeping with the spirit of the peace efforts' the remarks of Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman on Monday that the peace package was a 'rehash and recycle' of offers made by Islamabad earlier.
A Ministry of External Affairs spokesman said the chairman of the Delhi Transport Corporation has written to Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation proposing to deploy additional buses on the Delhi-Lahore-Delhi route.
The spokesman said instructions have been issued to the Indian immigration authorities to allow those above the age of 65 to cross at Wagah check-point on foot.
Steps have also been initiated for free medical treatment of the second lot of 20 Pakistani children in India, the spokesman said.
