The time has come for the United States and United Nations to declare Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence as an international terrorist organisation, Minister of State for Home Affairs I D Swami told rediff.com on Saturday.

He also rejected Pakistan Information Minister Sheikh Ahmed's statement that gangster Dawood Ibrahim -- who has been declared an international terrorist by the US treasury department -- does not live in Karachi.

He said India does not expect Pakistan to acknowledge Dawood's presence.

"All along we have been saying that Dawood Ibrahim, one of the key accused in the Mumbai serial blasts case, is hiding in Karachi. Now this has been proved by the statement issued by the US government, which has given his address in Karachi while declaring him an international terrorist," Swami said.

Asked if Pakistan would be forced to arrest Dawood and freeze his assets in case a UN resolution is adopted against the D-Company, he said, "I assume Pakistan will have no option… But first they have to admit that he is there… They are trying to wriggle out of tight corner."
