A lady teacher was killed and another critically injured when a grenade exploded near the entrance of the missionary school in Anantnag town in south Kashmir on Wednesday evening, police said.

In another incident, an officer of the Intelligence Bureau was killed and three other persons injured, when Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen militants opened fire on their vehicle at Shopian town in Pulwama district, official sources said.

A civilian was also injured in the attack and his condition is critical, they said.

The ultras fled soon after the attack, they said, adding a search is on to nab them.

Pro-Pakistan militant outfit Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen claimed responsibility for the attack.
