Lok Jan Shakti Party president and former Union railway minister Ram Vilas Paswan said on Monday that his party would contest the forthcoming Himachal Pradesh assembly election on its own.
He said his party would field candidates in most of the constituencies in the state, but did not give details.
Replying to a question, he said his party would not forge an alliance with any other party.
Asked about the issues his party would take up, Paswan said he would disclose those at his election rallies.
He expressed the hope that his party would perform well in the election.
