Shabir Shah meets Kashmir Committee
to wrap up visit

Separatist leader Shabir Shah on Monday night met Kashmir Committee chief Ram Jethmalani and sought continuation of the dialogue process with the non-official organisation.

Wrapping up his six-day tour of New Delhi, Shah apprised the committee members of his deliberations with various political leaders, including Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

Committee sources said the two sides agreed to continue the dialogue process and evolve a consensus to solve the Kashmir imbroglio.

Shah, who will return to Srinagar on Tuesday, met Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner J A Gilani. However, he was not granted an appointment with Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani.
