Police firing in Gujarat town, army to conduct flag march

Police on Thursday fired 12 rounds to disperse a mob indulging in arson and looting in the riot-torn tribal town of Kawant, about 80 km from Baroda, police sources said.

One person was injured in the firing, they said.

Authorities have asked the army to conduct a flag march in the area and also in Panwad, Tejgarh, Naswadi, Bavijetpur, Chottaudaipur and Sankheda talukas falling under Chhota Udaipur division, they added.
