Curfew lifted completely in Ahmedabad

Curfew was completely lifted on Tuesday morning in Ahmedabad with no fresh incidents being reported from anywhere, sources said.

However, tight security was being maintained in many parts, including sensitive walled city areas like Dariapur, Shahpur, Mirzapur and Khanpur, they said.

The army was patrolling many areas, the sources said, maintaining that there were no reports of any untoward incident.

Earlier, indefinite curfew was imposed in as many as 20 police station areas of the total 30 after the city saw large-scale arson in aftermath of the attack on the Sabarmati Express.
