Five more people killed in Ahmedabad

Fresh violence broke the semblance of normalcy, which had prevailed for the better part of the day on Saturday, resulting in the death of five more people in two separate incidents in Ahmedabad, police said.

Three people of a minority group were torched to death by a mob at the Maninagar railway station, the police said

In another incident, two people were stabbed to death in GIDC-Vatva industrial area on the outskirts of the city, they said.

Earlier in the day, uneasy peace had prevailed in Ahmedabad after three days of violence that plucked at least 120 lives.
