National Democratic Alliance's presidential candidate A P J Abdul Kalam on Monday met Congress president Sonia Gandhi and thanked her for extending her party's support to his candidature for the country's highest office.
Kalam, who drove to Gandhi's residence, spent nearly half an hour with her. "It was a one-to-one meeting," the party sources said.
Gandhi will file nomination papers for Kalam on Tuesday.
