Five accused in Naroda Patia case sent to judicial custody

At least five accused in Naroda Patia case were sent to Sabarmati central jail on judicial custody after expiry of their police remand on Friday.

They were produced before Magistrate R I Raval on the expiry of the police remand, who sent Babu Bajrangi, Kisha Korani, Ashok Shelwat, Mukesh Chhara and P J Rajput, to judicial custody, according to police sources in Ahmedabad.

The accused were remanded to police custody for their alleged involvement in killing of 86 persons at Naroda Patia on February 28 last.

Bajrani, Korani and Rajput were also accused in the killings in Naroda village and they would be arrested in this case after completion of their remand in the Naroda Patia case.
