A Delhi court on Tuesday framed charges against four people for the attack on Parliament on December 13.

Jaish-e-Mohammed militants Mohammed Afzal and Shaukat Hussain Guru have been charged under Prevention of Terrorism Act, Explosive Substance Act and Indian Penal Code.

Special Judge S N Dhingra charged Afzal, Guru, suspended Delhi University lecturer Sayed Abdul Rehman Geelani and Guru's wife Navjot Sandhu alias Ahsan Guru with criminal conspiracy, murder, attempt to murder and waging war against the State, besides offences under Explosive Substance Act and POTA.

They have been accused of hatching a conspiracy along with JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar, the outfit's chief commander in Jammu and Kashmir Ghazi Baba alias Abu Jehadi and one Tariq Ahmed and slain Pakistani terrorists -- Mohammad, Haider, Hamza and Rana for the Parliament attack in which nine were killed and 16 hurt.

Azhar, Baba and Tariq Ahmad have since been declared proclaimed offenders by the court.

The judge charged them with the conspiracy to procure arms and ammunition and to attack Parliament when it was in session and in the process to take hostage or kill the prime minister and other central ministers, vice president, MPs, other VIPs and security personnel.

All the accused pleaded 'not guilty' to the charges read out to them by the judge. The court on Wednesday would fix the date for commencement of trial in the case.
