Congress revokes suspension order of three Orissa MLAs

Giridhar Gopal in Bhubaneswar

The Congress party has revoked the suspension orders served on three Orissa MLAs Tara Prasad Bahinipati, Mamata Madhi and Kartik Mohapatra, state unit president Sarat Patnaik said on Tuesday.

They were suspended some time back for proposing the name of former Union minister Dilip Ray for the Rajya Sabha. Ray was elected to the Upper House as an independent.

After considering the explanation given by them for their actions, the party high command decided to revoke the suspension order, Patnaik told rediff.com.
