Senior Indian Police Service officer R K Sharma, prime suspect in the journalist Shivani Bhatnagar murder case, on Monday filed an anticipatory bail application in a local court in Delhi.
The application, filed in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge J P Singh through his lawyer, will come up for hearing on Tuesday.
Sharma, who has been evading Delhi Police for more than 10 days, had earlier moved a court in Panchkula near Chandigarh for anticipatory bail.
The petition was rejected over the issue of jurisdiction after the prosecution argued that a court in Panchkula could not decide on the bail as the crime had taken place in Delhi.
