More than three years after the gruesome murder of Indian Express special correspondent Shivani Bhatnagar, the Delhi police have arrested the first suspect.
Sri Bhagwan, the son of a former official of the Haryana police, was picked up a couple of days back.
Shivani, wife of Times of India's legal editor Rakesh Bhatnagar, was murdered in her flat in Patparganj in east Delhi in January 1999.
A manhunt has been launched to nab Sri Bhagwan's accomplices, one of whom has been identified as Satya Prakash.
The police claimed they have managed to track down several telephone conversations between Sri Bhagwan and an IPS officer.
This police officer had refused to join the investigations and also declined to undergo a lie detector test on medical grounds.
