INLD to support NDA on Gujarat motion: Chautala

Indian National Lok Dal leader and Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala on Saturday said his party would support the National Democratic Alliance government during the discussion and voting in the Lok Sabha on the Gujarat issue.

INLD has five members in the Lok Sabha.

"Our party's stand is clear from the very beginning. We are with the NDA government and will support it during voting in the Lok Sabha on the Gujarat issue," Chautala told newspersons during his day's visit to Kolkata.

However, Chautala said what had happened in Gujarat was 'condemnable'.

He called upon the media to be cautious in projecting the situation in Gujarat and urged all political parties not to capitalise on the misery of the riot-hit people of the state.

Chautala was in the city to woo industrialists from West Bengal to invest in Haryana.
