Gujarat debate in Lok Sabha on April 30

Discussion on the Gujarat issue on an opposition censure motion will be taken up in the Lok Sabha on April 30.

This was decided at a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee held in New Delhi on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Speaker P M Sayeed, Parliament sources said.

The discussion under Rule 184, which entails voting, will be taken up immediately after Question Hour.

Sayeed admitted the notices for the motion after Parliament remained paralysed for six days over the mode of discussion on Gujarat issue.

The Bharatiya Janata Party wanted to debated the issue under Rule 193, which does not entail voting.
