He, however, made it clear that they (Hurriyat leaders) would have to answer about their shelved plans of securing 'independence' for Kashmir or accession to Pakistan.
Abdullah told reporters in Delhi that he would be happy if the Hurriyat contested the assembly polls as it would give 'us an opportunity to seek answers from them about the miseries brought upon the people for more than a decade'.
"Also, their misconception about being the people's representatives will be cleared once and for all," he added.
