NDA convenes emergency meeting

An emergency meeting of National Democratic Alliance has been convened on Saturday evening to discuss the situation arising out of the arrest of former chief minister and president of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam M Karunanidhi.

DMK is a constituent of NDA, which holds power in the Centre.

The meeting will be held at 1830 hours at the Race Course residence of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, an official source said.
