The All Assam Students Union on Friday threatened to launch a mass movement if the decision to extend the Naga ceasefire to Assam was not withdrawn.
Condemning the extension of the ceasefire to Assam, AASU President Prabin Boro said that no compromise would be made with the territorial integrity of the state.
AASU has announced a three-hour sit-in demonstration in front of the district deputy commissioners' offices across the state on July 7.
AASU spearheaded the six-year-long anti-foreigners movement in Assam in the late 80s and the early 90s.
The North East Students Organisation, of which the AASU is a member, met on Thursday in Shillong and discussed the ceasefire issue, Boro said.
