Stalin applies for bail

Former Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi's son and city Mayor M K Stalin and two former Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam ministers on Thursday filed bail applications in a Madras sessions court.

While Stalin has been lodged in Madurai prison, Ko Si Mani and Dr K Ponmudi are being kept in Thanjavur and Cuddalore jails respectively since June 30.

In his petition Stalin said he was innocent and had nothing to do with the 'flyover scam'. He said he had been falsely implicated in the case.
