A meeting of all the tribal chiefs decided to observe the bandh along National Highway 39 in the Imphal-Myanmar sector from 0500 hours on Friday, the Kuki students organisation said on Thursday.
Essential services would be left out of the purview of the bandh, it said.
There was no let up in the sit-in-protests against the extension of ceasefire to Manipur in Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal and Bishnupur districts.
The protest would continue till a settlement was reached, the agitators said.
The 24-hour bandh called on Thursday by the All Jiribam Drivers' Association in Jiribam, bordering Cachar district of Assam, passed off peacefully.
Drivers belonging to non-Manipuri communities, including Bengalis, joined the bandh called against the extension of the ceasefire, a report said.
