Rangarajan sworn in as TN Governor

Andhra Pradesh Governor Dr C Rangarajan, who was asked to hold additional charge of Tamil Nadu, was sworn in on Tuesday by Justice N K Jain, Chief Justice of the Madras High Court.

Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, her cabinet colleagues, chiefs of armed forces and high court judges were present at the simple function held at the Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan.

Earlier, Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary P Shankar read out the warrant of appointment of Rangarajan as Tamil Nadu governor issued by the President.

Later, Jayalalithaa introduced her cabinet colleagues to the Governor who was accompanied by wife Haripriya.
