The bodies of two Border Security Force men were buried in the BSF battalion ground at Tura in Meghalaya on Saturday with full state honours.
The remaining 13 bodies will be cremated after the burial ceremony, a BSF officer told the Press Trust of India from Tura.
The slain men were given gun salutes and their last rites were performed in the presence of BSF 118 Battalion Commandant S K Jutsi and other senior officers.
The bodies of the 15 BSF personnel were brought to Tura early on Saturday from Mancachar in Assam where they were received on Friday night from the Bangladesh Rifles, the officer said.
"The bodies were in a very sad condition with most of them mutilated bearing torture and burn marks," he said.
The bodies were brought by Colonel Sadiqul Islam of the 8 Battalion of the BDR in a "very bad shape and in a state of decomposition".
