Red Fort mystery solved: PM

Vajpayee, on his arrival in Kottayam for a week-long holiday at the lake resort of Kumarakom said, "Some elements in Pakistan don't want peace to prevail here."

He reiterated that the extended ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir would be reviewed after January 26, 2001.

''The ceasefire has been extended. The whole situation will be reviewed after the Republic Day,'' the prime minister said.

On the Women's Reservation Bill, Vajpayee said it would be passed. ''Some via media will be found,'' he added.

When asked if he would meet spiritual and religious leaders during his stay at Taj Garden Retreat till January one, Vajpayee said he would like to meet 'some friends'.
