PM, WB CM to take Dhaka bus

West Bengal Chief Minister Jyoti Basu and Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vaypayee would separately travel to Dhaka in connection with the inauguration of the Calcutta-Dhaka-Calcutta bus service on June 19.

According to West Bengal Home and Cultural Affairs Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, the prime minister and External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh would fly to Dhaka from Delhi. Basu would go in a helicopter to a place three kilometres away from the Indo-Bangla border in North 24 Parganas district, from where he would take the inaugural ride to Bangladesh.

After entering Bangladesh, he would travel to Dhaka in another chopper.
