Orissa, Bihar continue under cold wave

Cold wave conditions prevailed in parts of interior Orissa, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, hills of West Uttar Pradesh and east Madhya Pradesh.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in coastal Orissa and in parts of Vidarbha and Telangana, and were below normal in parts of Assam and Meghalaya, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh and north interior Karnataka.

They were appreciably above normal in Kashmir and in parts of Gujarat, Goa and coastal Karnataka, and were above normal in parts of Konkan and Rayalaseema.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh and the plains of west Uttar Pradesh and Punjab from where the data were sparse.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in Rayalaseema.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.
