Militants attack army camp again in Kashmir

Armed militants attacked the high-security Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Centre at Haft Chinar on Thursday causing panic.

Luckily, there were no casualties.

Officials said militants first attacked the centre in the heart of Srinagar city with grenades, and followed it up with bullets from automatic weapons.

Last month, the militants had attacked the army camp in Toto ground, injuring a jawan.

Security arrangements are being further tightened in and around the city in view of the Republic Day.
