Karnataka Deputy Speaker Mamani dead

Karnataka assembly Deputy Speaker Chandrasekhar Mamani died on Thursday at Saundatti in Belgaum district following a massive heart attack. He was 62.

He is survived by two sons and a daughter.

Mamani was thrice elected to the assembly from Parasgad.

Chief Minister J H Patel has expressed his anguish over the untimely death.

Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, legislative council Chairman D B Kalmankar, and Bharatiya Janata Party state president B S Yediyurappa also condoled the death.
